Cookie Policy
Effective 2026. Under The Stars, independent European editorial network.
Short version
Under The Stars does not use tracking, advertising, or analytics cookies. The only thing stored in your browser is a small preference: whether you've dismissed the cookie notice. It stays on your device and is never sent to us.
What we don't do
- No advertising or marketing cookies
- No analytics or behavioural tracking
- No third-party trackers or pixels
- No cookie walls or consent dark patterns
What we do use
Local storage. One flag, set only when you dismiss the cookie notice, so it doesn't reappear on every visit.
Session storage. One flag recording that you've already seen the opening animation, so it doesn't replay on every page you open. It is discarded the moment you close the tab.
Neither flag is a cookie, neither identifies you, and neither is ever sent to us or to anyone else: both stay on your device.
Form security check. On the Connect page, once you start filling in a form, Cloudflare Turnstile may run a short check to tell people from bots. It is used only for security, never for tracking or advertising.
Every typeface on this site is served from our own server. We don't load fonts, or anything else, from Google or any other third party, so simply visiting the site sends no request outside this domain. The security check above is the only exception, and it starts only when you begin filling in a form.
If this changes
If Under The Stars ever introduces analytics or any other non-essential cookie in the future, we'll update this page and ask for your consent first, not after.
